8th Overseas Performers' Festival

1-3 February 2025

Organized by The Musique Loft (Singapore) and Sala Sudasiri Sobha by OLive Music (Bangkok), this festival offers pianists a unique platform to showcase their talents, connect with peers, and receive valuable feedback from an international panel. Star Award winners will be invited to perform at the Overseas Gala Concert in March 2025!

The festival aims to give an opportunity for all young performers to perform in a professional setting, to encourage each other, and to learn from their experience.

​

Applying to this festival will not only give you a chance to perform at the best acoustic hall in Thailand with the best piano; but it will also give you an invaluable experience listening to other performers as well. Don't wait.

*There can be more than 1 piece as long as it is within the time limit

ADJUDICATION
& AWARDS

Your evaluation focuses solely on how well you perform your chosen piece. It won’t be compared to others, nor will the difficulty of the music or your age be considered.

 

There will be a panel of two international adjudicators for each category. Each participant will receive a constructive written commentary, medal and a certificate. (Yes, everyone goes home with a medal!) 

 

Based on your performance, you’ll receive one of the following awards along with a trophy:

  • Platinum: 90 and above

  • Gold: 80 - 89

  • Silver: 70 - 79

  • Bronze: 69 and below

SPECIAL AWARDS

1. Star Award: A selected Few will be awarded a STAR AWARD trophy and an opportunity to perform in our Gala Concert! STAR AWARD recipients are handpicked by our esteemed adjudicators.

​

2. Audience Choice: From the votes of the audience! Recipient of this award will receive a trophy and a certificate.

​

3. Most Outstanding Performer: The highest score of each category will be awarded the Most Outstanding Performer Award with cash prizes. Winner will be invited to perform at the end of the Prize Award Ceremony at our judges’ discretion.

​

4. Jury’s Choice Award: Our adjudicators will select their Jury’s Choice for each category. Recipients of this award will receive a trophy and certificate. Winners will be invited to perform at the end of the Prize Award Ceremony at our judges’ discretion.

AWARD
PRESENTATION

  • All results of Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Jury’s Choice will all be announced at the end of each session. 

  • All medals will be sent to your home address.

  • Our unique STAR AWARD recipients will be announced via email within 1 week after the festival for your acceptance.

  • ​"Most Outstanding Performer" will perform at the Prize Award Ceremony on February 3rd, 2025. 

GALA CONCERT

  • Only for a group of selected few participants who earn Star Awards from the Festival.

  • The Gala concert will be held in March 2025.

PROCESS:

  1. Please click here to register.

  2. A confirmation email will be sent to you upon receiving your application. 

  3. TWO weeks before the event, a confirmation letter stating your reporting and performing time will be emailed to you.

  4. Any amendments must be done via email to our team: overseas.performers.thailand@gmail.com within the registration period. No amendments will be accepted thereafter.

  5. The information that you provide will appear as such on our Programme Book, Adjudicators Report and Certificates. 

  6. Sala Sudasiri Sobha shall not be held responsible for any errors arising from inaccurate submissions. Please check thoroughly and ensure accuracy when you register.

Participation Fee: 4,500 THB

All entry fees are non-refundable and are indicated in Thai Baht (THB). Sala Sudasiri Sobha does not account for or have any liability for any participants’ bank fees and/or other related charges.

PERFORMANCE
ATTIRE & ETIQUETTE

Musical performance is as much a visual experience as it is an aural one. Appropriate performance attire and footwear should be worn. No tank tops, t-shirts, jeans, shorts, miniskirts sneakers, open-toe shoes and slippers are allowed. Attire and performance etiquette will be taken into consideration in the adjudication.

RULES & REGULATION

  1. Free choice of repertoire. The performance must not EXCEED the time limit indicated. The jury reserves the right to stop the performer should they exceed the duration.

  2. Participants are required to perform from memory.

  3. Participants are responsible for his/her own music score and must bring TWO copies of the music score for the Jury on the day of performance.

  4. Participants may enter more than one category. Separate applications are required for each entry. Participants will be adjudicated and awarded separately for each entry.

  5. The organizer reserves the right to re-assign the category of the participant’s entry should the suitability or standard of the music chosen for the performance is not in accordance with the standard or grade submitted.

  6. There shall be no changes or refunds allowed after submission neither there will be refund for no-show or withdrawal from the registration.

  7. Request for specific day/timing or changes/swop for the Festival will be strictly not allowed. Please ensure that you will be able to commit to ALL the festival dates (1 – 3 February 2025) before registration, including the weekday slot.

  8. Judges’ decision on the results are final and will not be subjected to question, review, or appeal.

*Violating any of the festival's rules and regulations will result in participan's disqualification from the festival.

DISCLAIMER

  1. The registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable.

  2. Nat Studio (the organizer) reserves the right to cancel the event due to insufficient participants or any unforeseen circumstances. All refunds will be made if the festival is cancelled. 

  3. Judges’ decision on the results are final and will not be subjected to question, review, or appeal.

  4. The participants agree to indemnify the organizer against any injuries or damages occurred at the festival.

  5. The organizer reserves the right to amend the dates, information, rules, terms & conditions of the festival without prior notice.
